The Boardman Park Disc Golf Course is a tried-and-true challenge that many players love. Justin Edwards designed the permanent course in 2016. Located on what is known as the Green Oasis, the tees are concrete, which makes them stable, and the course is in a good location. The 18 holes present a challenge that keeps the game going for the perfect amount of time. The course landscape and terrain are mostly flat, with a few wooded areas. This makes the course ideal for new players just trying their hand at this fun sport.

The front nine play through an open space with scattered trees, while the back nine play entirely through a heavily wooded park area. The extra foliage makes for a more challenging game. You’ll find this course at 375 Boardman Polland Road.

Wick Park Disc Golf Course

The Wick Park Disc Golf Course is a permanent course that was designed in 2017 by Trevor Murphy. The tees are natural, with nine holes or baskets, which makes this course great for a quick pick-up game or for kids who are just learning how to play. The target type for this course is a Mach V with mostly flat elevation. Historic Wick Park is located right in the center of downtown, so a game here is great to get you out into the city and keep you active within the community.

Austintown Township Park Disc Golf Course

Austintown Township Park is comprised of natural greenery and areas that include grasslands, forests, streamside forest, ravines, and a one-acre Yeager Pond. The Austintown Township Disc Golf Course is another permanent course that was established in 2017 and designed by Todd Shaffer and Raymond Penny. The course is on mostly flat terrain in a lightly wooded area and features 18 holes or baskets. The length of the course is 5,389 sq ft. The holes range from 161 to 488 ft, which makes this perfect for players of differing skill levels.

You’ll find this wonderful disc golf course at 6000 Kirk Road. The park hours are typically from sunrise to sunset all year round. The course is still new and in fairly good condition. Tomlinson Run State Park Disc Golf Course

The Tomlinson Run State Park is a family-friendly location that sits on 1,398 acres of land along the Ohio River. The state park is near the panhandle in Hancock County. If you enjoy camping and disc golf, then this location is perfect for you. It is the only state park in the area that offers overnight accommodations in a yurt. It’s the perfect little getaway for disc golfers looking to reconnect with nature and forget about their daily worries.

The Tomlinson Run State Disc Golf Course is a permanent structure that was established in 2012. Designed by Albert Jesse Mestrovic III, it features 18 holes in both an open area and wooded landscape. The front nine wrap clockwise around the swimming pool, while the back nine offer more of a challenge. Players must wind through the woods and along scenic and historic sections of the park. The course stretches out towards the creek and finishes by the miniature golf area.

Birdie Hill Disc Golf Course

Designed by Greg Garret in 2017, Birdie Hill Disc Golf Course is a moderately wooded and hilly landscape. The varying terrain adds an extra challenge and is great for more experienced players who want to experience a bit more variety. The first three holes are in very open terrain to help you to get off to a good start. Baskets four through six enter the woods and play along the shorelines. The course exits the woods at hole seven. The entire course length spans 3,304 sq ft.
