As a staple in the Mahoning Valley for more than 100 years under the Sweeney name, this historic dealership became a #1 Cochran store in January of 2023. When the Sweeney family passed the baton to us, they did so with confidence, knowing that #1 Cochran is also a family owned business with a long tradition of selling GM vehicles.

#1 Cochran’s first store, a Pontiac dealership, was founded in 1965 by Bob Cochran, just across the PA border in Pittsburgh. GMC was happily added four years later. In the decades since, and under the leadership of Bob’s son Rob Cochran, we have grown to become the largest automotive retail group in Western Pennsylvania and are thrilled to have expanded into Ohio. #1 Cochran now operates more than 30 new vehicle franchises representing 19 domestic and imported brands. But, there’s no hiding that GM remains #1 in our hearts.
