The Garden Café by Kravitz is a second location of the famous Kravitz Deli located on Belmont Avenue in Liberty, which was originally founded in 1939 in Youngstown. Older local generations had the opportunity to enjoy founder Rose Kravitz’s kosher meats and have seen the deli business evolve into a restaurant and bakery at the new Belmont location, now run by Rose’s son Jack. The business also expanded through a catering business and the café.

Along with beautiful park views from its outdoor patio seating, the Garden Café by Kravitz, located less than 20 minutes away from our dealership at Fellows Riverside Garden, is a great place to find an affordable lunch. If you like matzo ball soup, visit on Thursday and choose the Daily Double so you can pair a cup of this soup with your favorite deli sandwich, choosing between egg, tuna, and chicken salad sandwiches.

We also recommend you try the corned beef Reuben sandwich. Other must-try items include the fresh Kravitz bagels and the Southwestern Chicken Wrap. It’s tucked away in a busy corner of the Boardman area, less than seven miles from our Market Street dealership. Patrons of Silva’s Deli say it is the best authentic Lebanese food in the area. We recommend you try the spicy roasted red pepper hummus with fresh pita bread, the traditional lentil soup, and the baklava.

Silva’s Deli also has catering options so you can share this delicious food with your friends and family at special events. You can reserve platters of items like grape leaves and meat pies for your guests. Don’t forget to stop by the grocery section for items like fresh cheese, olives, and pita bread to take home with you.

Krakus Polish Deli & Bakery

You can find authentic Polish food just a few minutes away from our Market Street dealership at Krakus Polish Deli & Bakery. Created by a Polish immigrant family, it is the only business of its kind between Cleveland and Pittsburgh. Fans often recommend Krakus’ pierogi and kielbasas.

Pierogi are Polish dumplings made with unleavened dough. At Krakus, you can get savory or sweet pierogi. We recommend you try the all-time favorite potato and cheese pierogi, and if you visit on a Tuesday, try the buffalo chicken pierogi, or “buffalo-ogi,” which is a Youngstown original recipe. If you have a sweet tooth, try the blueberry pierogi on Fridays. Newcomers to the deli as well as long-time customers say Krakus’ pierogi are “bursting with flavor” and “out of this world.” In October, for Polish Heritage Month, Krakus’ pierogi flavors multiply, with options like kraut, sweet cheese, mushroom, and meat with spinach.

Kielbasa is a type of Polish sausage. At Krakus, you can find different varieties of kielbasa. You can also get the kielbasa sub, which is grilled and features a bigos topping. Bigos is a Polish hunter’s style stew, which is made with sauerkraut, meat, and fresh cabbage.

Finally, chrust are crispy fried pastries shaped like a bow tie and  covered in powdered sugar. At Krakus, you can get one dozen chrust cookies for $6.  

Along with these fan favorites, we also recommend warming up with a cup of cabbage soup when the weather is chilly. Pączki is another must-have item from the bakery: a pastry similar to doughnuts that comes with a delicious fruit filling and sprinkled with powdered sugar.
