2021 GMC Terrain Interior – GMC Small SUV

If you need a small SUV with comfort and convenience features to elevate your Youngstown commute, the GMC Terrain has plenty to offer. Modern vehicles have so many features, and it can be challenging to understand for some people. That’s why we’ve created this breakdown of the GMC Terrain’s interior to help you make an informed decision as you shop for a new SUV.
GMC Terrain Interior Dimensions

GMC offers four trim levels on the Terrain SUV, all with subtle exterior styling cues yet remain unmistakably GMC. Every model seats five people, and the rear seat split-folds for additional cargo configurations. Behind the second row, you have 29.6 cubic feet of cargo space. With the second row folded flat, the cargo volume increases to 63.3 cubic feet. The front passenger seat folds flat and allows you to carry objects up to eight feet long.
GMC Terrain SL Trim Interior

The base model SL comes nicely equipped with premium cloth seats with the GMC logo embroidered on the adjustable headrests. The driver’s seat adjusts four ways for comfort, and the leather-wrapped steering wheel adds a refined style to the cabin. Power windows add convenience, including an express up and down feature for the driver’s window and an express-down feature on the remaining windows. In addition, the single-zone climate control system has multiple vents in the front and rear of the cabin.
You operate all your audio, phone, and driver-assist features from conveniently mounted controls on your steering wheel. A 12-volt charger, USB-A port, USB-C port, and an auxiliary jack come standard to keep all your devices charged and connected. Terrain’s in-vehicle technology runs through the 7-inch touchscreen powered by the GMC Infotainment System. This system includes Bluetooth technology and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability, allowing you to make hands-free calls, stream your favorite music, and access navigation information using intuitive voice commands.
The SL trim also features a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot to connect multiple devices wherever you travel. You get access to OnStar and GMC Connected Services apps for added functionality. The driver information center displays your critical driving data on gauges and digital displays. You’ll see everything from oil pressure to fuel range to help you manage your drive.
GMC Terrain SLE Trim Interior
The SLE Terrain comes with all the features of the SL model and gives you access to additional options and specific GMC Terrain interior accessories. You can upgrade to eight-way power-adjustable seats with premium cloth upholstery in different color patterns. Now you can get all-weather floor liners, a dual-zone automatic climate control system, a collapsible cargo area organizer, an SD card reader, and heated front seats as additional options.

GMC offers a rear-seat entertainment system with two 8-inch displays, each with HDMI, SD, USB inputs, and a DVD player. The system comes with two sets of two-channel wireless headphones and a single remote control. GMC adds a free trial subscription to SiriusXM satellite radio. You can upgrade your infotainment display to an 8-inch touchscreen.
GMC Terrain SLT Trim Interior
Terrain’s next trim, the SLT, comes with all the features of the SL and SLE trims, plus a few upgrades. Now a 110-volt power outlet comes standard, along with an eight-way power-adjustable driver’s seat with power lumbar control and a six-way power-adjustable front passenger seat. Terrain SLT models feature perforated leather-appointed seats with an option to upgrade to Jet Black color on the SLT trim.
Ambient interior lighting adds to the Terrain SLT’s sophisticated style. Driver and passengers enjoy the dual-zone automatic climate control system, heated front seats, and a heated steering wheel. GMC added the Universal Home Remote system to program devices like your garage door opener and select security devices.
GMC Terrain Denali Trim Interior
GMC’s top-of-the-line Denali trim comes with signature exterior styling while building off the previous trim levels’ appointments. You have multiple choices for leather-appointed seats embroidered with the Denali logo. Ventilated front seats and heated rear outboard seats are available options. GMC’s available SkyScape moonroof opens up all the light and air as it extends above the first and second-row passengers.
A premium audio system from Bose with seven speakers comes standard on Denali models. An 8-inch touchscreen in the Denali trim runs the infotainment system, and the included wireless charging pad keeps your smartphones powered while you drive.

Why Buy a Terrain?
Suppose you’re searching for an SUV that can handle the summer fun like day trips to the beaches of Lake Erie or weekends camping around Lake Arthur. In that case, the Terrain has the cargo and passenger room plus an available all-wheel-drive system ready-made for your outdoor excursions. And, anyone familiar with at least one Ohio winter knows the importance of a capable SUV in winter. GMC’s all-wheel-drive system offers selectable drive modes to tailor your suspension and steering systems to match the conditions, giving you the power to leave the pavement behind.
When it comes to power, this GMC small SUV performs big. The Terrain comes with a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with dual overhead cams, direct injection, and variable valve timing technology. This powertrain delivers 170 horsepower and 203 pound-feet of torque when paired with GMC’s nine-speed automatic transmission. That’s enough power and torque to tow up to 1,500 pounds so that you can take a few toys along on your next adventure.
You also get the GMC Pro Safety suite of driver-assist systems on every Terrain model. This suite includes the Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning, Automatic Emergency Braking, Front Pedestrian Braking, and the Forward Collision Alert systems. GMC Pro Safety systems use radar and cameras to monitor your Terrain’s surroundings, alerting you to potential hazards. Should you fail to react in time, some systems will engage emergency braking or corrective steering to help mitigate or avoid a possible accident.
